Seniors:
Concerning changes to the Senior Calendar.
This year due to low water levels, the Senior Picnic will
be held at Camp Montgomery,
instead of Camp Kulaqua,
on May 25, 2012. In order to go, all students must have a
signed permission slip. Permission slips were passed out in
English this week and are available in the front office. The
 deadline
for those permission slips is Friday, May 18th.

Also, another change in the senior schedule is that CAP
and GOWN DELIVERY
will start at 1:00 p.m. on May 30th
instead of 3:00 p.m. We normally wait until all the other
students are released to pass out caps and gowns -
but that makes it difficult if seniors need to clear any debts.
We are asking seniors to dress appropriately when they come
and come in quietly. Extra parking will be made available out on
the football field to accommodate those picking up caps and gowns.
It is a very quick process if you have your debts paid and books turned in,
so take care of those responsibilities early.

Juniors:
Senior parking for next year:
We are hoping to have the
parking lot painted this summer so we will not be selling
decals in June this year. The first day for Seniors to buy
parking
will be August 15th, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. till noon.
I
n order to buy parking at that time, students must have
16 credits, 2.0 GPA and not be on the debt list. They will need
copies of their license, registration and payment of $50 for paved
and $25 for unpaved parking. Dual enrolled students will also need
to buy a decal this year for $15 that will allow them to park in the
grass areas by the tennis courts.

If you are going to be out of town that day -
a friend or relative may buy your parking decal for you.

T
here is still space available in both morning and
evening sessions of summer Driver's Education
classes! Summer sessions run from Monday, June 11,
thru Friday, July 13, 2012. Pick up your registration form
in the guidance office at Buchholz High School, or contact
the Traffic Safety Center at 352-955-6959 for more information.

Parents and students:
Please be mindful of the dress code policy
for Alachua County Schools. Shirts without a collar must be school
sponsored Buchholz shirts.
All other solid colored shirts must be
polo style with a collar to be acceptable. Clothing must be the
appropriate size. The waist of the garment must be worn at the
waist and not below the waist. If you have any additional questions
regarding this policy, please call 955-6702.
Thank you. Valerie Freeman, Assistant Principal of Student Services.

Questions about Class rings, Graduation Announcements or Cap and Gown orders?
 Visit   www.herffjonesnorthflorida.com
This is a great way for the students and parents to stay up-to-date with order and
delivery dates for Rings and Graduation supplies. Also parents can always know
the balances on items that have been purchased.

In addition to ordering, parents can make payments on Rings and Graduation
supplies prior to delivery dates. Less worry for parents sending cash to the
school with their students and assurance that the balances are paid.

Don't want to miss out on important dates and reminders?
Then preregister your email address on the website.
