Animals from A to Z. Animals from A to Z, part of the Oakland Zoo Web site, is a collection of facts and photos of animals that live at the Oakland Zoo. Did You Know? Did you know is comprehensive and informative site containing short medical articles clearly explained for students in grades 6-12. For instance, the human heart article illustrates the structure of the human heart, how it works, what problems can occur, and how they can be fixed. Students learn that their heart is the one muscle in their bodies which never gets tired. In fact, it pumps blood with enough force to circulate it down to your toes, up through your body to your head, and back into your heart.

Dinosaura Online. Dinosaura Online, maintained by Jeff Poling, gives a broader exposure to dinosaur science to students and teachers in grades K-12. Among the online resources are the Dinosaur Omnipedia with dictionary and reference materials and Jeff's Dinosaur Picture Gallery featuring a collection of excellent images.

Interactive Patient. The Interactive Patient allows students in grades 5-12 to simulate an actual patient encounter by examining an imaginary patient who complains of back pain. Yahoo! Weather. Yahoo! Weather by WeatherNews Inc. (WNI) provides weather forecasts for thousands of cities worldwide. Enter a city name, for example London, click on the search button, and select London UK to get a five-day forecast. You can also view a satellite weather photos or movies, get the latest weather news for the surrounding cities, and read forecasts in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The site is suitable for grades 4-12.

4000 Years of Women in Science. 4000 Years of Women in Science, for grades 5-12, contains a few photos and more than 100 biographies of women scientists from ancient Greece to the 20th century. The site also includes an interactive quiz, a crossword puzzle, and related links.

ZooNet Image Archives. ZooNet Image Archives, for grades K-12, contains thousands of animal pictures including raptors, birds, carnivores, cats, hoofstock, monkeys and apes, pachyderms, reptiles, amphibians, and rodents.

Zoos in the Wild. Zoos in the Wild, for K-12, feature a large collections of animal photos with brief information about each animal. There are collections for both earth and sky animals.
